video review….#754.5

At times, I do feel like I’ve done that many workout videos, just because, I made a list of all the different ones I’ve done in the last 7 years. I’ll get to them-

The video I just got done with was “New York City Ballet” you have to say it in a low male voice and kinda like James Earl Jones, maybe even a little English accent with it…anywho. This came with two videos but I have only done the first. First thought, overall, if you want your legs to slim down, you want a little bit of Pilates, and you are dreaming of being back in the dance studio this is your tape. I enjoy doing, plies, tendues, attitudes, turning out at the top of my thighs, stretching, moving my leg to passe….all of the above. I also liked this tape because it had a simple warm-up that got your heart rate up, stretches, floor bare, center work, jumps, and a cool down aka, reverence. It was like being in a ballet class,….go figure. I think that anyone with a good understanding of the body could do this. It was also a full hour long.

What I didn’t like….much to forgive, simply because I love dance. I found myself asking, “ok??? am I following what the dancers are doing  or what you are telling me to me do??” The lefts and rights were mixed up for a lot of the tape. When on the floor with my head down, there wasn’t great cuing, but again, you are doing this tape more than twice, so looking up isn’t going to kill you. I didn’t like how they dressed the girl ballet dancers either, not the most flattering outfit, but all of them where toned to death! Peter even said something about how toned the dancers where….Dance, it’s serious!

So, I did this tape, 1 to 3 times a week, I noticed a big slimming in my upper thighs and worked up a sweat.

Go try it and comment :)
